Have You ever Mopped a floor?

I was sitting in STARBUCKS© one afternoon, reading a good book and minding my own business, when I looked up, much to my surprise, two lovely young ladies were standing there staring at me. This, of course, was not unusual, for women often tend to do that. When I asked them what they were doing, they told me they were Mopping the floors. They went on to say, when they saw me sitting there, they had a sudden urge to stop and tell me hello and thank me for coming to STARBUCKS©.

I do, of course, Love looking at lovely young ladies, but what really got my attention was the fact that each of them was holding a Mop. And it just so happens that one of the most impressive things in this world, for me, is to see a woman with a Mop in hand. Please allow me to back up for a moment, for I would be amiss if I left out the fact that I also Love to see a woman with a Broom in hand. It’s so romantic. It brings back thoughts of Motherhood, the Girl Next Door and Apple Pie.

But I must admit, this was the first time I ever had the pleasure of seeing two women at one time with a Mop in hand. It was one of the most moving things I’ve ever witnessed. The way they were caressing those Mops started my heart fluttering. My eyes were tearing, my hands were shaking, and I was speechless. I was thrilled beyond my wildest expectations.

Now, if you have the pleasure of reading this Blog, you must be aware that I am an Author and one of my favorite things to do is write Blogs. What you might not know is, I have a hard time thinking about what to Blog about. But fortunately for me interesting subjects seem to pop up out of nowhere. Which of course was happening to me at this very moment in time. It was an opportunity of a lifetime! A rare historical moment! A NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MOMENT. A moment that must be recorded and filed in THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS.

When I was able to settle down, I thanked them for taking their time, to thank me for coming to STARBUCKS©. They went on to say that I was a very interesting gentleman, and they would Love to know more about me.

I told them I was an Author, and a Blogger, and I would like to take a photograph of them and write a Blog about our meeting. They of course were thrilled that I asked, especially when I told them this Blog would probably be published in THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINE. I went on to tell them how special they were, and what a pleasure it was to see them Mopping the floors. How every good man is looking for a Humble Woman, and a woman with a Mop in h

They of course were thrilled that I asked, especially when I told them this Blog would probably be published in THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINE. I went on to tell them how special they were, and what a pleasure it was to see them Mopping the floors. How every good man is looking for a Humble Woman, and a woman with a Mop in hand is truly the epitome of a Humble Woman. They both looked so happy with their beautiful smiles, but I couldn’t help but ask if they were Twins. They asked me how I knew they were Twins and were amazed that I asked. For they were in fact Twins, and throughout their whole life no one had ever asked them if they were Twins.

I told them it was a no-brainer, for there was no way two women could possess so much Love for a Mop without being Twins (I would be amiss if I failed to insert the fact that one of my many skills is being an expert judge of a persons’ character).

I asked them if they would mind me naming my Blog, “The Mopsy Twins” so everybody would know they were Twins. They begged me to give them a hug and told me they couldn’t wait to see the Blog in THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINE.

P.S. Speaking of Twins, I firmly believe that everything is an opportunity, and this encounter with these lovely Twins, provides me a unique opportunity to dedicate this Blog, to My Dear Sweet Twin Sister, Phyllis.
